After Rev. Brian Hendrie preached in both churches the congregations unanimously voted to invite him to become minister of the linked charge of Crosshill with Maybole.
The Induction Service was be held on Tuesday 28th September 2010.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission as the people of God in CrosshillParishChurch is to understand the good news of Jesus Christ and to share it with all who live in the parish and in the wider community.
Crosshill is a small rural village of around 500 inhabitants, situated in the picturesque Girvan valley 4 miles south east of Maybole.
The A77 to Ayr passes through Maybole. Ayr is 12 miles from the village.
The village has a food shop incorporating a post office. There is also a hotel, pub and community hall.
Mobile banking and library visit once a week.
Primary education is in a modern primary school. 50 pupils attend.
There is also a nursery accommodated next to the community hall for children of pre-school age.
Secondary education is at Maybole 4 miles away.
Primary school services are held in the church at end of each term.
The church is joined in linkage with Maybole.
Constitution
We have a model constitution.
Congregational roll
There are 188 members on the roll.
Worship
Sunday service is at 12 noon and of a traditional format.
New hymnaries used.
Sunday school
Meet 11-12am then attend the first part of the service. 12 children at present.
The Guild
Meets fortnightly in the winter and is well supported.
Choir
The choir accompanies us at morning worship and entertains us at special services at Christmas and Easter.
Communion
Is held twice yearly.
Last Sunday in April (2 sessions)

Tea/Coffee is served after worship on the first Sunday of each month
Kirk Session
The Kirk Session comprises 13 elders
(6 men and 7 women)
Meetings are held as required.
Congregational Board
The Board consists of all elders plus 7 members
(7 women)
Meetings take place after session meetings.
A.S.M. held in March.
Crosshill Church was converted in the 70s to provide an open plan church with hall space to the rear.
